Haskayne Community Report 2019

Challenge

Create an annual report that communicates Haskayne's strategic priorities, achievements, and impact to a diverse audience of alumni, donors, faculty, students, and industry partners. The publication needed to balance institutional reporting requirements with engaging storytelling while reinforcing the school's brand and leadership position.

Approach

As lead designer, I collaborated with the Haskayne communications team to develop a distinctive dual-narrative publication centred on the themes of Big Ideas and Bold Leaders. The report was designed in a unique recto verso format, allowing two complementary stories to unfold from opposite directions. I was responsible for creative direction, publication design, information hierarchy, typography, data visualization, image selection, print production, and press approvals.

Results

  • Created a premium annual publication that elevated Haskayne's institutional reporting

  • Transformed complex information into accessible, engaging visual storytelling
